Install GDAL/OGR

GDAL/OGR is a powerful software to process GIS data.  With this software, you will be able to process all Raster and Vector dataset formats.  Depending on your OS follow those instructions to install it.

On Windows

Browse to GISInternals website, download and installed the appropriate GDAL package.

On Mac

Browse to KyngChaos website and install the appropriate GDAL package.

On Linux

$ sudo apt-get install gdal-bin
